Be the envy of your chums, with this amazing shark balaclava.

Not only is it highly fashionable--it’s functional, too. The lower jaw can cover your chin or rest below it depending on how cold you feel outside. When you step inside, simply slip the top off and it becomes a hood, ready to warm you at a moment’s notice.

Great as a gift for kids--no kid wants a hat but they definitely want a toy. And this is a hat-toy.

You’ll need worsted weight yarn, a lot of gray and a little white, black, and red as well. Or you can make a rainbow shark; that works.

NOTE: The eyes are crocheted! I am a novice crocheter, so it shouldn’t be too hard. You’ll need to know how to make a magic ring (a loop out of chain stitches), and how to single crochet.

I am modeling this lovely hat, which is actually the child version. It’s meant to fit a little looser, but if you don’t want that, go one size down. My head is 22 inches wide.
