Here’s a pattern that you can really sink your teeth into! This Shark Hooded Blanket is so soft, cozy, and designed with a fun, comedic look in mind!

The hood is made to look like the face of a shark, with the opening of the hood looking like the open mouth of a shark just about to enjoy a hearty meal: the person wearing the hood!! Complete with gums, teeth, eyes, and a fin – this blanket is hilariously detailed!

In addition to the really fun look and design of this blanket, it really does work as a cozy blanket, as well! You can always pop the hood off for a more conventional looking blanket. But then again, if you’re going to wear a shark hooded blanket, I say just go for it and fully embrace the silliness!!!

This pattern is written in standard (American) English crochet terminology. You will need 4 skeins of Bernat Blanket or a yarn of equivalent weight; 1 skein each of the Bernat Blanket accent colors; small amounts of medium weight Black yarn; Size Q / 15 mm crochet hook; Size G/6 4.25 mm crochet hook; yarn needle and scissors. A full list of the supplies and materials needed can be found in the PDF pattern. Exact gauge is not essential to this project. The size is one size fits most; blanket measures about 52” wide by 62” long; hood measures about 37 inches lengthwise from left to right side and 26 inches width from left to ride side.
