THINGS YOU WILL NEED:
-Hooks: You will need a 5 mm (H) & 8 mm (L) hook.
-Yarn: You are welcome to use any brand of yarn in the same weight category (or 2 strands of a thinner yarn held together) but if you’d like your pouf to turn out the same as mine, please be sure to check your gauge first! For a tip on how to save time when checking your gauge, check out my blog post entitled “Becoming a Master Gauge Checker: It’s a stinky job, but somebody’s gotta do it…”
- I used Bernat Blanket Yarn (Super Bulky). You will need 3 big balls (660 yards) of shark color and 1 big ball (175 yards) of water color.
- Red Heart Soft Yarn (Worsted Weight). You will need small amounts of white and black.
-Polyester fiberfill & tapestry needle with large eye (There are many different things you can use to stuff your pouf besides fiberfil. Some suggestions are pillows, old towels, blankets, sheets, clothes, foam pieces or plastic bags). If you use something that does not create smooth edges, you may want to surround it with polyester fiberfil.
-Pins to hold pieces in place before sewing.
