Sharon's Köchin Slouch Hat
“Sharon’s Köchin Slouch Hat” was designed as part of the 2024 #CrochetCancerChallenge event hosted by SweetPotato3. This hat is in honor of my Aunt Sharon, who has bone cancer. The cancer ribbon color for bone cancer is yellow. She has always been near & dear to my heart, so I used some of my favorite stitches to honor her. Aunt Sharon, of German descent, spent her life as a chef and for many years was so in her own restaurant. “Köchin” is a feminine German noun that translates to “cook” in English.
The pattern gives instructions for making this gorgeous slouch hat in 3 adult sizes (M/L/XL). It’s easy to adjust the height and can be made in 2 different versions and has 2 brim options.
This slouchy works up quickly with awesome texture and would make the perfect gift for all the adults in your life … and a great addition to your next market.
