The “Sharon’s Köchin Slouch Hat” was designed as part of the 2024 #CrochetCancerChallenge event hosted by SweetPotato3. It was such a fun design, that I just had to make a matching cowl/infinity scarf and wristers to complete the 3 pc collection. Aunt Sharon, of German descent, spent her life as a chef and for many years was so in her own restaurant. “Köchin” is a feminine German noun that translates to “cook” in English.

The pattern gives instructions for 3 adult sizes of XS/Sm, Med/Lg, and XL. There are 2 different versions and 2 different cuff options. These wristers work up quickly with awesome texture. Whether you choose vibrant hues or subtle tones, they will make the perfect gift for family and friends in your life … and a great addition to your next market.
