This is Shattered Slate; an assymetric shawl pattern based on the shadows created by fissures in the slate walls I see around me in my North Wales home. Easy to keep track of, this has a simple six row repeat & features a drop stitch row to create the fissure. This can be worn loosely round the neck, secured with a shawl pin, to show off the texture, or wrapped more tightly to keep the wind out. Pattern features both a shawlette version made from 100g or a larger shawl version made from 200g for extra snuggling! Knitted up in double knit (8ply) weight yarn, this is a quick knit and makes for a super warm shawl.
