This shawl arised from a beautiful gift from a knitting friend: 20 balls (2 kilo) of Dream Colour yarn, 2-3 balls of each colour.
As the yarn is variegated with subtle colour transitions, and as the colours are all mixing very well, I have used 4 different colours for this shawl: 3 balls of Bright Rainbow (colour 15), 3 balls of Spring (colour 03), 2 balls of Tropical (colour 22) and 1 ball of Golden Glow (colour 17).
But as the color run in each ball is different, none two shawls will ever look the exact same – each will be unique.

The shape of the shawl is called vinge-sjal in Danish, which translates to wing shawl.
Because of the shape, the shawl stays put when you are mowing around, no need to secure it with a knot or shawl pin and there is no bulging at the neck as in triangular or semicircle shawls

Yarn is 100% virgin wool with a running length of 400 meter/100 gram (fingering, each ball 3.5 oz and 437 yards).

Et vinge-sjal har en fantastisk pasform: den bulker ikke i nakken og bliver siddende som den skal – derfor foretrækker jeg så langt denne form, fremfor fx de trekantede eller halvcirkler.
Der er rigtigt mange masker i dette sjal, men lad dig ikke afskrække af det: den er super nem og sjov at strikke.
