This textured cowl is knit in the round. You may use any weight or type of yarn that will show off the texture. Just be aware of the quantity of yarn you will need. The cowl may also be made narrower or wider depending on how many repeats you complete.
Gauge is not important for this pattern but adjust your needle size to the type and weight yarn you use.
