Pattern note

SHEENA is a mohair sweater featuring deep vent slits and sleeves, both inspired by the dugong swimming gracefully in the sea. The slow movements of this sea animal waving its chubby body reminded me of the casual drape and airiness of mohair and I designed this sweater, trying to translate this image into the sleeve’s shape and vent slits. The sweater’s airy volume swings with your body, as if you move in the water.

I worked the pattern yarn with a needle size resulting in a fabric with discreet, elegant sheerness, which makes this sweater adapted to all ages. I recommend using a yarn that is comfortable next to your skin. You can enjoy the association with tops you wear under it. Also, the sweater is reversible. Wear the back to front, depending on your mood of the day

SHEENAは、海をゆったりと泳ぐジュゴンにインスパイアされた、袖と大きめのベンツスリットがポイントのモヘアセーターです。ぽってりとした体を揺らし、悠々と水中を泳ぐジュゴンの動きが、モヘア特有のカジュアルな落ち感や空気感と重なり、袖とスリットにイメージを落とし込んでデザインしました。空気をはらんだような立体的なシルエットが体の動きに合わせて揺れ動く、まさに泳いでいるようなセーターです。

指定糸に限っては、品良く透けるようにバランスを考えて使用する針のサイズを選んでいますので、年代問わず着ていただけます。素肌に触れても心地よい糸を使用するのがおすすめです。インナーとのコーディネートをぜひお楽しみください。また、前後はどちらでも着用できる2wayデザインです。その日の気分でご自由にどうぞ。
