Sheep Farmer Socks
These socks were originally designed for my husband’s grandmother. A hard-working sheep farmer in south Wales, she is out rain or shine, day or night looking after her woolly babies. As we know in the UK, the weather can be pretty grim at times and her poor feet would suffer for it in her wellies, so these socks were born! They are thick, tall, warm and perfect for keeping your feet cosy - and they have sheep, what more could you want!
A pair of DK socks knit in the round from the cuff down. The design features stranded colourwork, and contrast coloured heels and toes. The pattern uses short row heels and has generous calf shaping.
