My daughter is currently obsessed with going to visit a nearby farm so I have spent a lot of time looking at the animals and decided the sheep would make a nice rattle. The bold colours are good for a baby and the bobbles for the sheep’s wool will add an interesting texture for them to feel. I have added 2 rattles for extra noise but 1 in the head would do fine.

It is knitted using DK yarn on 3mm straight needles to make the fabric tight and stop the stuffing showing through. Babies give toys a rough time so make sure to sew all the seams and features securely. If you choose your yarn, rattle insert and stuffing carefully it will even be machine washable which is appreciated by busy mums.
