This pattern will work with any sock yarn, but is specifically designed for use with the “Sheepish” fingerless mitt kit available for sale at:

If you haven’t seen it yet, this is knitted with “picture yarn” which means the design appears as you knit so there is no need to change colors to get the sheep pattern to appear.

Knitting with picture yarn is a blast, and once you get it, you get it and can knit with any picture yarn!
