Sheepshank Beanie (DK)
If you are game for a little different technique then this is the pattern for you. Don’t worry, it’s not hard but it is fun. Simply a different spin on your typical rib look. Surprisingly quick for DK weight with a folded brim gives this design that classic look that is great for everyone. The name is inspired by a type of knot called sheepshank and is a simple knot useful for temporarily shortening a rope. It is made by making a double loop in the rope and tying a half hitch at each end. This pattern starts from the bottom up and keeps your interest and attention throughout the entire process. This hat is worked in the round starting from the bottom up. It is one size and can fit women, teens, and some men.
