Crocheted Smucks (carpet slippers, Shetland dialect) with sheepskin soles for cosy toes this winter.

These booties were made with ultra-soft Shetland sheepskin soles supplied by the Shetland Tannery (www.shetlandleather.com). Sole templates are included if you wish to make your own and instructions for an optional crocheted sole are also included.

The booties are crocheted in Jamieson & Smith Shetland Supreme jumper weight yarn, which is 100% undyed and celebrates the natural shades available from Shetland sheep. The pattern uses 1 ball for the main colour and 13m of a contrasting colour for the sheep faces.
