We were startled to see these, and instantly thought, “lingerie for your feet”. The lace pattern is only four rounds (two of which are knitted), so there’s not a great deal to keep track of. The heel is naughtily done in the lace pattern too. The only actual solid fabric besides the two garter ridges at the cuff appears on the sole (lace patterning is maintained on the instep) and toe. This is a scandalous sock, and we haven’t seen anything else exactly like it. Both 3.5mm (US4) and 3.75mm (US5) needles are used to shape the cuff.
