Sheffield Vest
This vest is knit in plain stocking stitch to after the underarm shaping, then stitches are cast on for the arm rise and bottom of the shoulder shaping, then it is worked with mitred corners and the central stitches are grafted.
This pattern uses circular needles, which allows for stripes in odd numbers of rows. If the yarn for the next row is on the wrong end of your knitting, slide the work to the other side of your circular needle and work from there.
