Shelby the Sheep
This pattern is part of a collection of patterns known as Cookie Pals. Each of the Cookie Pals will be posted on my blog for free, one at a time. But if you’d like an ad-free printable PDF version of the pattern containing instructions for making all 11 Cookie Pals, you can purchase the Cookie Pals eBook.
This pattern will show you how to make one of the Cookie Pals: Shelby the Sheep. The head, body, and legs are all made in one piece, so there’s minimal sewing.
This pattern can be made using two colors of I Love This Cotton! Yarn and an E hook, but you can substitute another aran weight yarn if needed. OR if you want to make the body with a fuzzy yarn like I did, I recommend using a lighter weight fuzzy yarn held double with a thin fingering weight yarn of the same color so that you can see your stitches better but the size is still more consistent with the other Cookie Pals; my sheep turned out slightly larger than the other animals, but it’s not hugely noticeable. The pattern also calls for fiberfill stuffing, two 6mm safety eyes, and a tapestry needle. I recommend using a stitch marker to keep your place, since most of the pattern is worked in a continuous round without turning or joining.
You’re welcome to do whatever you’d like to with finished products made from this pattern but if you do sell them, I ask that you link back to my page. You may not copy this pattern, repost it anywhere (either altered or in its original form), or claim it as your own. You may not use any photos from the pattern for your own use.
