Sheldon the Sheep crochet pattern includes a detailed photo tutorial on how to crochet this adorable sheep. You will need to know basic crochet and amigurumi skills such as: how to make an invisible single crochet decrease, a magic circle, how to crochet in the back loop only, surface crocheting and how crochet in the round. Since his wool is worked in the front loops left by working in the back loop only his pattern is a great way to use Fuzzy/Fluffy yarn without having to struggle with it. To make his pom-pom on the hat, I use the Large 2.5” Clover Pom-Pom Maker (if using worsted weight yarn you will need to use the 3 3/8” that’s available in the same pack).

Size: You can use any size hook as well as yarn size but if you use my recommended yarn and hook size your Sheldon the Sheep should be about 6.5” tall - if you use worsted weight yarn and a 3.5mm hook he will be approximately 11-11.5” tall.

You will need:

2.00 mm crochet hook (or hook size of choice)
Yarn of choice in various colors (his wool can be crocheted with fuzzy or non-fuzzy yarn) - I use Paintbox Cotton DK yarn
yarn needle
2 - 4mm safety eyes (or size of choice if using worsted weight or larger you will need to size up to 5-6mm)
stuffing
sewing pins
scissors
Clover Pom-Pom Maker 2.5” (in the Large size pack)
{Optional}
Wool Blend Felt (for his letters in his messenger bag)
