Sheldon the Turtle
Super quick and easy, this little pattern can be adjusted in so many ways! I love using variegated yarn with these little guys, but also make them in seasonal colors too…think Christmas, Halloween, Valentines and flag, school or team colors for a little bit of fun. As with many patterns, it is easy to adjust the look and size of your turtles using different yarn weights with a compatible hook.

Quick & Easy
Size:
Approx 9” long
Materials Needed:
6 mm (US size J) crochet hook
Less than 200m (220 yards) of Super Bulky Yarn in desired colors. I used Bernat Blanket yarn in Red, White & Boom and Busy Blue, and Bernat Baby Blanket yarn in Funny Prints.
In other versions, I’ve used 2 strands of Bernat Premium worsted weight yarn held together, which also works well.
One set of 12mm (1/2”) safety eyes
Polyester stuffing
Stitch marker, if desired
Tapestry needle to sew and weave in ends
