The gauge I listed above is a combination of 4 sc and 3 shell stitch , since a shell stitch is composed of 5 dc I put there 19 stitches by 10 rows.

Gauge: is not that important but this is my gauge as I measure it after making the hat.

Ribbing
5 sc = 1 inch

Body of the hat
4 sc and 3 shells x 10 rows = 4 inch
