Natural Cotton yarns are suggested in any weight , the pattern has been made in 4ply and measures approx.5 cm high I recommend using a smaller hook than the yarn suggests, which will help hold the form of the holder.
PVA glue is used as a fabric stiffener in this project .

Use of imitation candles are recommended when using these
tea light holders as much safer than a naked flame, alternatively
place a glass jar inside the holder to use traditional candles.
