Anyone driving through Appalachia has seen or heard of the Shenandoah River curling through the Blue Ridge Mountains though the twists and turns aren’t quite as dramatic as this hat.

This is a simple and quick zigzag hat pattern with an easy to remember 6 stitch repeat that fly’s off the needles. The sizes listed are a child’s or small adult 18 inches, a 23 inch and a 28 inch size to fit all head sizes.
The pattern uses about 200 yds of worsted weight yarn, 150 for the main color and about 50 yds for the accent color.
