Shepherdess Wristlet
Design by Suzy Beggin Craft and Amy Loberg.
These simple wristlets are based on a muffatee pattern from 1838! The modern woman of 1838 would have used these to keep her hands warm while allowing her fingers the freedom to sew, knit or stir a pot over the fire. You, however, will appreciate the warmth they give your hands while leaving your fingers free to type on your computer or send text messages!
Finished Size: One size fits most. Approximately 5” in length.
Gauge: 12sts/2” in K3, P3 pattern
Needles: US 5 Straights or Double Points
Materials: Suzy the Shepherdess’ Worsted (100% Wool: 100 yds/50g)
Yardage: Approx. 1 skein
Notions: 1 Stitch Marker
Skill Level: Easy
Note: Pattern A includes instructions for knitting flat. Pattern B includes instructions for knitting in the round.
