Sherbet Blankie
A fairly simple crochet pattern using sc, hdc and dc sts
If you are familiar with these sts you can crochet this. The combination of the sts creates a very textured fabric and looks more complicated than it is and it is reversible!
I made a small size to use as a car seat, carrier cover and not too big that a toddler can carry around. I have given the patten repeat so you can make any size you wish - something I wish more designers would include in their instructions.
The yarn I used is what I would call a light chunky and I would recommend something in heavy worsted to this wt for the texture of this fabric to drape well.
I worked the pattern to count the approx gauge and it did not work out to easily give a standard 4” size, so use it as a guide.
The yarn has 328 yds/skein and I used all but about 4-5 yds of 2 skeins to make this size.
I did not make one in the Ella Rae yarn but I think the colorways would also look great as it would also give the effect of stripes without the work
