Finished Chest Measurement: 45-1/2” (116 cm)

Additional Size Information from the Book: “Other sweater sizes can be achieved by making the gussets smaller or bigger. (Of course, the number of sleeve stitches would have to be adapted correspondingly.) Making the sweater with a shaped armhole would yield a smaller garment for ladies.”

Pattern Description from the Book: “Several features of traditional fishermen’s ganseys are applied on this sweater: circular, seamless construction; underarm gussets; a historic pattern from Sheringham, in Norfolk; pattern worked only on the yokes and upper sleeves. Two-stitch seam lines run along the body, through the gussets and down the sleeves; worked in knit for two rounds, then purl for two rounds, the seam lines echo the texture of the diamonds in the yoke pattern.”
