Sherry and Lace
by Corrado Lark
The Backstory:
Sherry is pretty much my second mother. She’s one of my mom’s best friends and our families are very close. She and my mom came to New York for all of our first times at Vogue Knitting Live last winter, and we had an incredible day. They’ve both been very supportive of my pattern writing and designing, and get most of my knit gifts.
I designed this cowl for Sherry, and it’s now been shipped back to Colchester, CT, just up the block from where I grew up and my family still lives. I hope she gets a lot of wear out of it this season, and I’m happy to release the pattern for the world to knit as well!
The pattern features syncopated brioche, simple eyelet lace, and an option for “Structured Freeform Lace” in one section of the cowl. That’s a choose your own adventure lace that is much simpler done than explained in a ravelry bio. If you can do eyelet lace, you can do structured freeform lace.
