The pattern has been tested in three different weights of yarn, lace, fingering, and DK. The scarf will get bigger with each heavier weight of yarn. Gauge is not important as this is not a fitted garment. It is both written and charted.

Approximate finished sizes:
Lace: 12” x 80”
Fingering: 13” x 90”
DK: 15” x 100”

We have two options to choose from for the edge of your scarf. You are welcome to knit a 5 stitch garter edge along the sides or follow the added instructions for a beautiful, little lace edge. This lace edge will add width and yardage to your project. (Yardage is already included.)

There are multiple options for beads - along the very edges only - several more incorporated into the stitch pattern - or lots added to the pattern. It will be your choice. If you are going to add beads, I would suggest the following:

100, 570, or 820 8/0 Seed Beads for Lace Weight yarn
100, 570, or 820 6/0 Seed Beads for Fingering Weight yarn
100, 570, or 820 5/0 or 3/0 Seed Beads for DK Weight yarn

Of course, you can always be creative and place the beads where you think best. Have fun!
