Shetland Stars Neck Warmer
On recent trip to Scotland I visited a hand dyer’s yarn shop in Glasgow and found this two-skein pack of a solid and a variegated colorway - and thought it would be interesting used in stranded colorwork.
For the Love of Yarn
2x50g Merino Nylon Sock; 200m per 50g skein; Islesburgh Loch Shores (Grey = Color A; Variegated = Color B)
Or you could use any two contrasting colors in a fingering weight yarn of your choice.
The Shetland Star is a traditional Fair Isle stitch pattern, but the combination of colorways I chose is not traditional. I enjoy experimenting with variegated colorways against a solid, lighter-colored background with some stranded colorwork designs. I hope you enjoy the knit!
