Enhanced Pattern!
Photos and notes added for clarification. This stylish poncho is designed using Shetland-Inspired Lace motifs. The motifs are arranged so that they form a nice border design all around, with a center ground of repeating diamond shapes.
I used a fingering weight wool yarn and a size 5 needle. This gave me a soft fabric with lots of stretch. Gauge is not critical.
Finished measurements after wet blocking, before seaming:
27”W x 60”L
The pattern consists of two Charts and some written instructions.
