A set of 5 mm dpn or circular needles (if a circular needle is used, you would need dpn to do the thumb).

Hat:

5 mm circular needles

Crochet hook size 5 mm

▶2 x Buttons for either a hat or a pair of gloves
▶2 x Stitch markers (for the hat)
