Shewgirl Swirl
Dedication
This pattern is named for my friend, Tania Barry—group admin, pattern tester, and stitch count queen! It’s dedicated to the ladies of the Hoppers Crossing Crochet Group, that have embraced me as an ‘honorary Victorian’ in their online crochet meets, and to all other crocheters in COVID lockdowns around the world. It’s been a tough 2020-2021.
Description
This is a spiral afghan. This pattern is for beginner to intermediate crocheters.
The pattern is a simple repeat. You can continue on until the desired size is achieved. No counting was needed—I only needed to count to 5 when making the popcorns.
There are photos, charts, and written instructions.
Yarn:
I suggest KoKonki Motki Ombre. They have a variety of gradient cakes in cotton, cotton acrylic, cotton acrylic shine, soft acrylic, pure merino, and merino. You can even design your own colourway.
They also have a range of Scheepjes and YarnArt Flowers, which would also be suitable for this project.
Available online at kokonki.pl. #kokonki #kokonkimotkiombre
My project:
My project uses four 1500m in KoKonki 4 ply Classic.
I used a 3.5mm hook. My completed blanket measures 170 cm in diameter.
