The Shey Cowl is a beginner friendly stranded colourwork pattern, knit in the round and inspired by the design on a photo frame that my friend Shey gifted me before she passed away.

I wanted to create something beautiful that celebrated our friendship and honoured her memory.

100% of the proceeds from the sale of this pattern will be donated to Lifeline Australia, the charity chosen by her family.

3.75mm 16” circular

GAUGE

24 sts x 28 rounds = 4 inches in colourwork pattern

YARN

Main Colour (MC) 25g (100m) of fingering weight (100g = 400m) held together with 15g (120m) of lace weight (50g = 400m)

OR 65g (130m) of DK weight (100g = 200m)

Contrasting Colour (CC) 15g (60m) fingering weight (100g = 400m) held together with 5g (40m) of lace weight (50g = 400m)

OR 25g (50m) of DK weight (100g = 200m)

Sample was knit with 100% non superwash fingering weight Peruvian highland wool held together with 100% non superwash lace weight silk mohair.
