This oversized poncho is a collaborative effort. My eldest daughter drew Celtic knotwork which I translated into the cables in the borders of the poncho. The pattern is rated experienced because of the complexity of some of the
cables in the borders. You will need two cable needles to work the most complex cables.

The back and front are worked flat and joined at the shoulders with a three needle bind-off. The collar is then worked in the round.

The pattern is fully charted and row by row directions are also provided for each chart.

The poncho can be made with functional buttonholes and buttons, or the front and back can be permanently attached with decorative buttons. For functional buttons choose six 1” buttons. Decorative buttons can be any size up to about 2”.
