Shifting Sands is an elegant cardigan with a stunning collar. Long vertical lines in front and the high riding collar visually elongate your body and neck. The crisp, stylish folds emphasise your lovely face.

The body is knitted in stockinette, a soothing and easy knit. You need a simple stockinette cardigan pattern you love; for best results, generate your own CustomFit pattern, which will fit you perfectly.

The collar features a crisp lattice pattern which is easily memorized. Artfully introduced purl wedges split the patterned area into strips and persuade the fabric into those striking folds.

Best of all, you don’t even need to work the whole cardigan in the same yarn! Knit up the stockinette body quickly in thicker yarn, and showpiece a lovely fingering weight yarn for the collar!

The Recipe assumes you already know how to:
• Knit and purl
• Work stocking / stockinette stitch

Yarn Required

Body: Any yarn from fingering to worsted weight; amount can be calculated with CustomFit if swatch weight and dimensions are available. Sample in Malabrigo Sock held double.

Collar: light fingering weight yarn, to allow the collar to fold as intended, between 440 - 800 yards depending on chosen cardigan length. Sample in Malabrigo Sock.
