A quick and easy cable boot topper pattern. Shifty uses a elongated stitch single cable slipped over rows to produce a nice flat cable for topping your favorite boots.

Child version (gray) uses 70 yards of worsted weight yarn and sizes 6 and 7 double point needles.

Adult version (red) uses 80 yards of bulky weight yarn and sizes 8 and 9 double point needles.

Notions needed:
Cable needle
Tapestry needle
6 buttons (3/8” for child size and 1/2” for adult size)

Pattern notes:
Uses long tail tubular cast on
Uses elongated stitch (double stitch)
Gauge is not important for this pattern as it will stretch quite nicely yet keep it’s shape.
