Shimmer is a lightweight, soft neck cowl. An accessory that has been with me from a very early age up till now. Loved using it, being small. In those times, it was used as a hoodie cowl more often than a neck cowl. Now neck cowl is the leading way of wearing the piece.
It’s not easy to write about the piece I’m so familiar with. So I asked my kids what they could say about it. My daughter, who is 5 years old, said: “It’s nice and warm and very soft. And it’s amazing. And it’s so loving of my mum to make it for me.” That was so sweet to receive from her:)
And my son, who is 13, said: “I like it cause it’s warm on my neck, it’s not too tight like a polo, and it looks good.” :) I guess that says it all.

Construction details.
It is knitted back and forth in a simple 6+1 Broken Garter sequence pattern.
I-cord edging creates a neat, finished look.
Piece joint together using the Three Needle Bind Off technique.
The neck cowl is shown in one size: circumference 64 cm (25.2”), height 41 cm (16.1”). And can be very easily adjusted to wished height and width.

Size can be easily adjusted by adding width (rows) or height (sequence pattern repeats).
