Shimmer is a hat inspired by a desire to use bright colors during the longer nights of Winter. I taught myself brioche this year through Nancy Marchant’s books, and immediately I wanted to contribute something new. And since I couldn’t decide between three colors, I incorporated all colors in this hat. I am hoping to write more patterns this year using brioche and my other favorite techniques, such as color stranding and cables. Hope you will follow my progress and help me with my development as a designer. Instagram account: Hand_peace_knits

The brioche design used here is reflective of the glimmery snow that shrouds the leafless branches of trees, creating a shimmery webbed canopy above.

Also, Shimmer is knitted in a fingering weight yarn, specifically Harrisville Shetland in Kiwi, Silver Mist, and Pink.

NOTE: My knit chart app does not number the brioche rows conventionally. Therefore, the light and dark rows are color coded instead and numbered individually.
