A little story about the hat. I woke up at 5 am and finished the hat before my granddaughter went to kindergarten at 8 am.

So this pattern is very simple, quick, and easy.
The hat is knitted in the round, from the bottom up with the tubular cast-on method and finished with cables, for extra cuteness just put a pompom on top.

SKILLS:
LEVEL: Beginner
SKILL NEEDED
-General knowledge of basic knitting stitches
-Knitting in the round with circular needles
-Long tale Cast-on 1x1 Rib in the round or Tubular Cast-on
-Knitting cables
-Set of directional decreases

GAUGE: 27 sts & 27 rows = 4 ” (10 cm) in a cable pattern

SIZE: Hat- approximately 3-12 years (hat is very stretchy and it will fit a variety of sizes)

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
YARN:
-1 skein (±115m) Lana Gatto, super soft (1 skein = 50g. ± 125m. oz ± yds 137)
-130 m Drops Glitter thread, Sparkly and Shiny Metal Thread to combine with other yarns
CIRCULAR NEEDLES:
-16” (40 cm) / US 6 (4 mm) for the brim
-24” (60cm) / US 7 ( 4.5 mm)
DPN NEEDLE: 6”, US 6 (4 mm)
BLUNT TAPESTRY NEEDLE: for removing the jaw
WORSTED WEIGHT YARN: cca. 5m(for Tubular Cast On 1x1 rib in the round)
ROW COUNTER FOR CIRCULAR KNITTING (or stitch marker)
TAPE MEASURE
SCISSORS
POMPOM (optional)

SUGGESTIONS:
FOR YARN:
Any other 100% merino wool or 100% wool
For glitter/sparkly/shiny thread just take the thinner one
FOR NEEDLES:
You can use a set of DPN (minimum 4) for those who are using this method for knitting in the round.
For circular needles, you can use any length you love to knit with.

TAKE TIME TO CHECH GUAGE:
you have to check your gauge and adjust needle size(s) accordingly if necessary.

NOTES: When you knit with 100% merino wool, I suggest knitting with a smaller needle size because merino wool is very stretchy and at the end, the brim and the cables have a better structure.
