Shinkansen - the Japanese bullet train.
Shinkan-Zen - another speedy, but relaxing knit.
This is another cresent shaped shawl that does not require counting or short rows.
NOTE: to get a crescent shape it is important that you knit with a loose gauge and you will need to block the shawl.
The shawl is worked top down in two sections - moss stitch bands and mock rib.
The mock rib is fun and easy to knit with a single pattern row and no purl stitches.
