Shiny & Brite Shawl
by Kelly Norby
Shiny & Brite Ornaments have been passed on in my family for generations. The shawl was inspired by the distinctive caps. Shiny and Brite brand ornaments have caps that scalloped and ridged.
Yarn Used: 12 colors of Red Sheep Mini Skeins Shiny & Brite Collection (92 yards/20g) if using an alternate yarn you may use 2 full skeins of sock yarn approximately 450 yards of each color. To highlight the stripes choose high contrast colors, this would also create a lovely fade.
Gauge – 24 sts per 4 inches inch in garter stitch (US Size 5 24” or longer or size required for given gauge)
Notes – gauge is very important for the yardage to complete this project, you will use most of color 11 there are 3-4 yards left at the end of section 11
