This beaded stole is elegant and easy to style with soft fan shapes at either end for drape and flare and a narrower band of lace in the centre for ease of wear.

The pattern is offered in two sizes – a smaller scarf style made with one skein (343 metres / 375 yards) and a larger stole style made with approximately 150g (515 metres / 560 yards) of Sweet Georgia Superwash sock.

The beads are optional and can be replaced easily with purl bumps or simply left out altogether for a simpler, lighter look.

Gauge is not crucial to this project however there is not a great deal of lace patterning in the scarf so you will need to achieve drape by knitting at a looser than normal gauge.
