I call this project a ‘shire headband’ because everything about it screams ‘cozy’! The warm autumn colors that still contain hints of summer sky blue and lavender, the insanely warm and soft wool yarn that goes into it, and even the fact that the project is made using a mock cable stitch! The only thing cozier than cables is the cable look without all the stress of actually having to knit cables!

Part of what makes mock cable stitch so fun is that it is reversable—on one side it has a faux mini-cable appearance, and on the other it has a simple wide ribbing pattern! I find this particularly nice, as I’m always a fan of reversibility (it’s like two projects for the work of one!).
