If your little dog is fussy like mine, they may not enjoy having things pulled over their heads or legs. I developed this dog jacket to fully velcro on from the dog’s back, with no paw lifting or head-shoving necessary.

The jacket is worked flat from the bottom up in one piece and felted. Because it’s felted, the piece will look a little too big once you’ve finished it. Toss it through the washer and dryer to felt, and it should fit your little dog perfectly. The yarn noted in this pattern seems to shrink a little more after each wash/dry cycle, so you may want to toss it through a few cycles before attaching your velcro.

Designed to fit a 15-25lb dog, with a bit of adjustment possible with custom placement of your sew-on velcro.
