Shoebill Stork Amigurumi
Make your own Shoebill Stork! This prehistoric looking predator is actually a modern species found in the swamp lands of Eastern Africa. They may look terrifying, but you need not be scared (unless you are a fish!) - they are actually rather docile and non-threatening around humans. Despite its name, the Shoebill Stork is in fact more closely related to pelicans and herons. The Shoebill Stork is listed as Vulnerable on the IUCN Red List.
The 84 page pattern includes detailed step-by-step photos and clear written instructions to make an amigurumi-style Shoebill Stork. PLUS there is a 32 page printer-friendly TEXT ONLY version at the end of the pattern. This pattern has been fully tested by multiple testers. Includes yarn amounts and hook sizes to make a Shoebill using worsted weight yarn.
Recommended for INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCE SKILL LEVEL. This pattern uses basic crochet stitches and more complex stitches (detailed in the pattern glossary).
