Shoreline
“Shoreline”
This cowl was one of those designs that just comes into being from nowhere…
I had finished the Game Of Thrones collection and was wanting a break from small needles and fingering weight yarn, so decided to cast on with big needles and dk yarn and see where it went.
As the rows began to tick away, it started to remind me of seaweed and walking along the shoreline seeing it laying damp on the sand.
Living inland when my heart is by the sea, I have taken this design as feeding my soul whilst recovering from the major project thrones was. I hope as you work the rounds of this cowl, you too hear the whispers of the waves and fuel your soul as much as I did.
It’s worked from one skein of dk yarn, I have used a yarn with a silk content to allow for the drape. Its worked in the round, using markers and simple stitches your shoreline cowl can be made to be worn either on warm or cold days.
