Shoreline socks are knitted cuff down with a 6 row repeat. The pattern uses knit, purl, yarn over and slipped stitches to create a soft, flowing and wavy pattern reminiscent of waves breaking on the shore. The pattern is suitable for beginners who want to try a few different stitches.
It works well with lighter coloured variegated yarns as well as semi solid colours. The pattern repeat is easy to memorise and works up quickly.
A simple slipped stitch heel allows the main pattern to shine.
I think these look best with a contrast colour used for the cuff, heel and toes, but that is entirely up to you.

Now updated to include a shortie version with a picot top cuff!
Yarn available from https://twinklyknits.etsy.com

Main picture uses Caribbean Sunset and shorties use Speckled Peacock.
