The Shoreline Shirt is the companion to the Shoreline Shorts! This pattern uses the exact same stitches and is crocheted in one piece, with seaming along the sides.

The pattern is made to measure, so you can choose to use any fiber you have on hand or want to use! Yardage below is based on using DK/ CYC 3 yarn. Since this top is made to measure theoretically you can use any weight yarn however I’d recommend CYC 2, 3 or 4 weights. I personally used a weight 3 yarn (Hobbii Friends Cotton Silk)!

The top is oversized with 10-12” of positive ease.

You may choose to make the top any length, from a crop top button up to any length!

Other materials needed: buttons of your choosing - amount needed dependent on length of top.

Yardage Estimates based on using CYC 3 yarn - if you use thinner yarn you will need more than what is listed. These are estimates, you may end up using more or less which is another reason I need testers so I can have more accurate yardage info! If you choose to make a longer length top, you will need more yarn.

Crop top length (sample length of 15”)
XS: 630 yds
S: 700 yds
M: 815 yds
L: 883 yds
XL: 951 yds
2X: 1025 yds
3X: 1100 yds
4X: 1174 yds
5X: 1249 yds

For a top of 20” you will need approximately 1.25x the yardage listed, for a longer tunic of about 30” you will need approximately 2x the yardage listed. More specific numbers will be listed in the pattern itself.

This top is made to measure and you are provided with a spreadsheet to input various details to give you the number of chains and rows to make! This should allow for a perfect fit for your body! There are video and image resources linked throughout and at the end of the pattern for reference if needed.

You build the top sideways, so the height of your stitches will actually be creating the width of your top. The top will be created in one piece, then folded over and the sides will be seamed. Lastly, the button band will be crocheted directly on, and then the collar.

You will need a Google account in order to access the spreadsheet, as it will create a forced copy. Within the spreadsheet you will input numbers and the spreadsheet will do the math for you!
