Shoreline Tee
The Shoreline Tee is a light summery tee constructed in the round from the bottom up featuring a lace hem reminiscent of waves lapping onto the beach and pebbles along the shore. Eyelets also line the neckline and sleeves to create a light and versatile piece for the warmer weather. This tee can be worn as a cropped layering piece over dresses, or can be paired with shorts and trousers.
As a collaboration with Pixie Yarns, the “Shoreline” colourway which was developed for this design will be available in Pixie Yarns Etsy Shop from 12pm on 06/06/20.
Sizes: 1 (2, 3, 4, 5) (6, 7, 8, 9, 10). Bust circumference of finished garment: 33 (36, 39, 42, 48) (51, 54, 60, 63, 66) inches; 84 (91.5, 99, 106.5, 122) (129.5, 137, 152.5, 160, 167.5) cm. Recommended ease is 2-6” (5-15cm) of positive ease.
Yarn Requirements: The sample used 2 skeins of Pixie Yarns Sock in the Shoreline colourway (75% merino, 25% nylon) (465yds/425m per 100g). The yardage required for each size is: 570 (640, 680, 750, 850) (900, 990, 1050, 1100, 1160) yards 521 (585, 621, 685, 777) (823, 905, 960, 1006, 1061) meters. It is possible to knit a longer version of the tee as some of my tester knitters opted to, however this will affect the yardage required. The yardage required may vary depending on the gauge, always knit a gauge swatch to achieve the desired fit.
Recommended Needle Sizes:
3.25mm (US Size 3) circular needle for the main body of the garment, or appropriate size to obtain gauge.
2.75 (US Size 2) circular needle or dpns for the neckband.
Gauge: 24 sts / 32 rows = 4 inches (10cm) in stockinette stitch. It is recommended to knit your gauge swatch in the same way the garment will be constructed, for this project this will be in the round.
