Short Row heels and toes for the sock enthusiast
by Mimi Codd
Discontinued.
This digital pattern is no longer available online.
A few people asked me about my preferred method of making short row heels and toes for socks, so I decided to write a two-part tutorial.
Part one discusses when and why short rows are sometimes a good choice for socks, specifically when working with certain yarns.
Part two gives a detailed photographic and written tutorial on how to create attractive short row heels and toes whether you are working top down, toe up, working the heels in-line or after the rest of the sock is complete and numbers are given for a very wide range of sock gauges and stitch counts.
