Slipper socks with thicker soles, achieved by using the yarn doubled on the sole and single on the instep and leg. This prevents knitting in the round for the foot part, so a short-row technique is used to join the sock together as you work.

Pattern could easily be adapted for a variety of yarns, gauges, etc.
